Superbad: The Movie

I can’t remember where I first heard about or came across the movie Superbad. I think it was either on the Apple trailer website or the Ain’t It Cool News website. Anyway, the trailer is hilarious and the reviews that are starting to trickle out are sounding pretty good. I’m not reading a whole lot about the movie because I don’t want to spoil it for myself, but from what I gather, it’s your basic “loser graduates from high school and doesn’t have a girlfriend so he cooks up a crazy scheme to get one†sort of movie. Maybe it’s just me, but trailer reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite, too - and that’s a good thing, in my book.

I like how the website also allows you embed a YouTube style trailer right your your website or what the official site calls “your social networking websiteâ€. I don’t know why other official movie websites don’t do this more often. I mean, the movie trailer is going to show up on YouTube anyway, so why not provide a “widget†from the official site and control the quality of the trailer as well as try to bring some viewers back to the official website for some other goodies like desktop wallpapers, ringtones, and other little nuggets - or even movie times and locations?
