Pownce Invitations (and more Web 2.0 madness)!

By Michael Lundberg | July 15, 2007

Just a quick update on my post from two weeks ago: I now have several site invitations to give away, though I would assume that if I have invitations to give out, then so does everyone else. I mean, sure, I spend an unhealthy amount of time on the internet and all, but surely someone has more time than even me to find these services, then search out someone who can give me an invitation to then spread to all of my friends. Now that they both have one, I make them available to you, the masses - otherwise known as “my readers”. According to feedburner, I have two readers, so I’ve effectively just doubled my number of friends.

Now, if I give you an invitation, will you be my friend? I have the following invitations:

Pownce (www.pownce.com) - 11 invitations left

Joost (www.joost.com) - unlimited invitations, I assume

Babelgum (www.babelgum.com) - unlimited invitations, I assume

8apps (www.8apps.com) - unlimited invitations, I assume

Natuba (www.natuba.com) - 4 invitations left

Yumondo (www.yumondo.com) - not a member yet, but I’m expecting the hook up any minute now…

Now, if you’re interested in an invitation, leave me a comment below with your email address (obfuscate it to avoid spam). If you’re really hot to get it, send me an email () too, with your request. And yes, I know this is a cheap way to get some comments, but I’m the one with the invitations. So who’s laughing now?

Matthew - sorry for the slow reply on the invites. I had the email wrong in my admin notifications, so I didn’t realize that your post/request was there. I’ve fixed that. You should be the happy owner of new Pownce, Babelgum and 8apps accounts.

Trevor - interesting post, though I don’t think I’ve made any money from any of the social networks that I below to yet. I take that back - Linkedin has been good, but the money that I’ve made from that is difficult to quantify.

Aside from Linkedin, I haven’t fully utilized any of the new social networking / web 2.0 sites that I belong to. I use Pownce and Joost (not social networking, I know) the most. 8apps is the one that just plain confuses me. I’ll have to play with that one more this weekend. I just got into Moola (www.moola.com), Spock (www.spock.com) and Yumondo (www.yumondo.com) tonight. I’m looking forward to playing with Yumondo.

    Thanks for the post!
