Steal a base, steal a taco
By Michael Lundberg | October 26, 2007
If you’re living in the United States and not living under a rock, you may have noticed that the 2007 World Series started on Wednesday, October 24th, pitting the Boston Red Sox (go Sox!) versus the Colorado Rockies. You may also know that, as of tonight, the Red Sox are up 2 games to zero (go Sox!). What you may not know is that Taco Bell is running a promotion in conjunction with Major League Baseball. For each and every base that is stolen in during the World Series - regardless of the team - Taco Bell will give the entire United States one free crunchy seasoned beef taco. You can find details of the promotion here.
If you’re really watching the Series closely, you’ll know that Jacoby Ellsbury sold second base in game 2 on Thursday (go Sox!). Therefore, per the terms of the promotion, run down to your local Taco Bell between the hours of 2 and 5pm on Tuesday, October 30th for a free crunchy seasoned beef taco. And tell ‘em Michael sent you.
I also posted the link on The Mixx. Head over and give it some voting love… if not for me, do it for the (free) tacos.
Oh, and go Sox!
