Web 2.0 Invitations Galore, Part II

By Michael Lundberg | October 30, 2007

My original Web 2.0 Invitation Giveaway article has attracted more traffic than any other article I’ve ever posted. I’m not sure how it’s gotten the exposure that it has, but I’ve decided to replicate it with a couple more exclusive Web 2.0 invitations for the masses! I’ll make this as simple as before. If you want an invite, leave me a comment below, with your email address. I would obfuscate it, to try to keep it safe from the spam bots. Make sure to mention which site or service you’re interested in. In most cases, I have plenty of invitations to give away, but they’re on a first come, first serve basis.

Alright, let’s get to the good stuff. Here’s what I’ve got:

Jaiku (http://www.jaiku.com) - 10 invitations left

Jaiku is a microblog site more similar to Twitter than Pownce. It was recently acquired by Google. If the rumors are true, I would expect to see some cool integration between Jaiku and the gPhone, if Google ever releases it.

MoFuse (http://www.mofuse.com) - 50 invitations left

I’ve previously blogged about MoFuse, which is a service that will create a mobile-friendly version of your blog or homepage. I’ve found it easy to use and recommend anyone give it a try. It’s currently a free but invitation-only service.

GrooveShark (http://www.groveshark.com) - 5 invitations left

From what I’ve seen, it’s relatively difficult to get an invitation to this site. I haven’t spent much time playing with this one, but I noticed that they’re selling song downloads for $0.25 USD. You can also stream music for free here. Give it a try!

Gyminee (http://www.gyminee.com) - unlimited invitations

Social networking, meet the gym. Gym, meet social networking. Create workout routines and share your progress with others. Or, create an online competition and see who can bench the most weight or lose the most weight.

Stixy (http://www.stixy.com) - unlimited invitations

This one’s a weird one. Stixy is used to create an online collage, which you then share and allow others to modify your work or add to it. The interface is relatively easy to use.

MeeMix (http://www.meemix.com) - 10 invitations left

This one is very similar to GrooveShark, except that as you’re streaming music, you rate it. The more music that you rate, the better MeeMix becomes at guessing what you like.

Moola (http://www.moola.com) - 7 invitations left

This is somewhat of a repeat from my last Web 2.0 giveaway, but I’ve been granted additional invitations to pass out, so here they are. Moola is a curious little Web 2.0 site that gives you 2 cents. Moola then automatically pairs you up with others that have the same amount of money and you play a quick (lasts about 3 minutes) game over the internet and the winner takes the loser’s money. They want you to keep playing and doubling your money until you cash it out. Interesting note: if you double 2 cents 27 times, you get more than $1M.

@ Colin - That’s a whole lotta invitations! Thanks for sharing the love.

What do you think about the site/service? Have you purchased anything from them? I noticed that they’ve had a couple of $0.29 song sales lately.

    Thanks,

It’s an awesome concept, but its recommendations suck, it really slows down my machine, and it takes forever to find a song you want. Not to mention a severe lack of music I like.

[…] the site, but since then Docstoc has gone public, so there are no free invitations to pass out (as here and here). Even though it’s technically still in beta, I found it relatively easy to use. […]
