befuddlr: a Web 2.0-style distraction
By Michael Lundberg | November 26, 2007
Have you seen befuddlr.com? I got this site earlier today via a Pownce from Kevin Rose. Yes, the Digg/Diggnation/Revision3 guy and no, I don’t know him - I’m just on his Pownce list.
The site is fairly simple:
- First, you select an Flickr tag from a given list
- Next, you select an image from the list you just selected
- Thirdly, hit the “Befuddle it!” button on the right (which scrambles your picture selection into a puzzle)
- Lastly, you rush to put it back together.
No plugins are needed (I think it’s AJAX-based), which makes it even cooler.
It’s just a simple, elegant little game. Give it a try the next time you have some time to time to kill.
The site was created by: Eric Kastner and Amy Hoy.
By the way, if you’re interested in checking out Pownce, I have a full review here and free invitations. Just leave me a comment below!
