How to make Eggnog
By Michael Lundberg | December 21, 2007
Well, Christmas and New Year’s Eve are almost upon us, which means that it’s also time for everyone to consume copious amounts of food and drink. One of those seasonal drinks is eggnog. I usually just drink eggnog purchased from the store because I’m lazy like that. However, I’ve always wondered what was actually in eggnog. Did you know… it actually contains raw egg? Who’d a thunk? Anywho, I happened across this article via Lifehacker which details how to make eggnog from scratch. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic variations are included. How’s that for a little holiday cheer?
The Lifehacker article is here or, just skip to the source recipe.
As a side note, if you’re not reading Lifehacker, you should definitely give it a try. It can be hard to keep up with the volume of articles posted, but I’ve found it entertaining and informative, especially if you’re a techie like me. I was introduced to it via a friend’s blog and I’ve been hooked ever since (thanks, Ammon).
