Netcars - the search starts here!

By Michael Lundberg | January 8, 2008

One of the things I enjoy about traveling is experiencing things that are familiar to you, yet somehow… different. For instance, have you ever noticed that sodas purchased outside of the United States have a different blend of syrup? A Coca Cola from the U.S. is ever so slightly different from one purchased in the UK.

Something that I really enjoyed about traveling in the UK were all the foreign cars. In general, the cars in London are smaller than typical cars in the States, which makes sense when you consider how much smaller the roads are and the price of petrol there. Netcars.co.uk is a great UK-based car site that helps me remember all the interesting and foreign cars that I used to see when walking the streets of London. I’m talking about articles and video on everything from the small BMW 1 Series (which isn’t sold in the U.S.) to the outlandishly expensive Aston Martin DB9 (which you rarely see in the U.S. – or anywhere else).

Besides all the reviews and videos on cars that you’ll never be able to afford, there are also more useful features for the “common man,” including information on UK car loans and an entire section called Sell My Car that offers practice experience on how to get rid of your old junker so you can afford one of these. Sadly, if that’s out of your reach, you can even search for one of many good used cars with the intuitive search tool. If you’re going to be purchasing a new car, you’ll also need car insurance which you can get either online at Netcars.co.uk or over the phone.

The next time you’re looking for some foreign motoring action, check out Netcars.co.uk and come for the pictures, but stay for the information.
