Audi does The Godfather

By Michael Lundberg | February 3, 2008

Audi LogoAudi sent me a link to an “exclusive” preview of their Superbowl advertisement for the Audi R8 that will premier later tonight. It is a very clever ad that mimics a famous scene from The Godfather in which Jack Woltz awakes to find the severed head of his prize race horse in his bed. The original actor, John Marley, reprises his role for the Audi advertisement. You can find the video here:

I gotta get me one of those Audi R8s.

I thought the commercials were boring this year, unfortunately the R8 commercial was one of the better ones. It tapped into a classic movie scene but more than anything it was just one bad ass looking and sounding car.

@ Jim - I agree, most of the Super Bowl commercials were weak, but the Will Ferrell Commercials were awesome!

True. I thought Shaq horse racing was funny too. There are some “blooper” videos with Shaq out there too, like this one…

Hmm…that didn’t work and I can’t edit it. Anyway, try this.
