How to lose graciously, by FC Dallas
By Michael Lundberg | May 19, 2008
Last Sunday (5/18/08), while FC Dallas was getting schooled by the LA Galaxy, Dallas player Adrian Serioux (yes, I realize that he used to play for Houston), decided that he was tired of all the other players scoring goals and fouled LA’s Beckham, knocking him off his feet. The foul was blatant, flagrant, and immediately earned Serioux a red card and an ejection from the game. Check it out some FC Dallas sportsmanship at it’s best:
Seriously kids, don’t try that at home. Needless to say, Serioux’s antics were in vain as FC Dallas lost to the LA Galaxy 5-1. Edson Buddle, of the Galaxy, earned the MLS Player of the Week, in part for this excellent goal:
Gawd. I can’t believe I’m actually trying to follow MLS Soccer. I’ve only been to two Dynamos games so far, but I’m looking forward to seeing more games later this season. I realize that this post has nothing to do with the Houston Dynamos, but, I’m sticking their logo up anyway.
